Vintage 1950s Tea Set Hand Painted Soko China Midnight Blue Bamboo with Gold Accents
Japanese Porcelain Soko China tea set, circa 1950s comprising of tea pot with lid, sugar bowl with lid, creamer with lid, 5 tea cups and 5 saucers for tea cups.
This is an elegant and striking tea set, hand painted with gold accents and a green bamboo pattern on a very dark blue, almost black, background.
Bamboo has long been known as the symbol of strength due to it's resilience.

Well cared for tea set. No chips, cracks or repairs. Crazing inside pot, cups and creamer.  There is noticeable wear on the gold bands due to age. Three cups show wear on the gold bands around rim and show the color of the pottery but the glaze is still there. Please see photos for condition.
